North Bondi Clubhouse Rebuilding

The Clubhouse Rebuilding project was officially launched at our Sponsors & VIP Night on Saturday 14th June 2008.

Acclaimed architectural firm Dubach Block gave a presentation to the guests on the evolution of the design and vision for the building. A model of the proposed building was unveiled by Club Patron John Utz AC and architect Neil Durbach. The Design and Development Committee are in full swing with the major fundraising campaign and the Club looks forward to bringing this exciting project to fruition in the near future.

North Bondi SLSC Rebuilding Benefactors & Donation Matrix

 

We are proposing to have a Benefactors Gallery, which will basically form the forecourt of the new Clubhouse and be adjacent to the current promenade. Plaques will be fashioned from granite & marble with the Club logo and benefactors name and then inlaid within the new forecourt. This will be similar to Hollywood “Walk of Fame” for an interpretation, although more stylish. These plaques will be there for perpetuity and will provide unique recognition of the Benefactors.

 

All donations are tax deductible and will be banked to the Rebuilding Trust Account that is administered by Trustees John Utz AO; Jim Poulos QC & Peter Newton.

 

Benefactor levels are:

 

$100,000; “Wally Weekes Membership” status & benefits; plaque with single name on seaside area of Benefactors Gallery.

 

$50,000; Plaque containing 2 names on centre area of Benefactors Gallery.

 

$20,000; Plaque containing 5 names on Clubhouse area of Benefactors Gallery.

 

Donation Levels are:

 

$10,000; Recognition on prominent honour board within Club environs.

$2,000; “2nd Century Foundation Brick” donation; recognition on “2nd Century Foundation Brick” honour board within Club environs.

 

Members Rebuilding Levy

 

With the Club approaching Government, Corporations and individuals to contribute to our fundraising endeavours it is important that we demonstrate our own Members are committed to the project. Whilst many Members pay school building levy fees, golf club fees and the like, it is important to realise that we are asking you to assist rebuild your Club for our future, in addition to the enjoyment of current members. This is not an ongoing commitment we are requesting.

 

The Management Committee has agreed to a “one off” Building Levy that will be payable with fees due for 2009/10 season (i.e. payable by 31/7/2009). This levy varies according to membership category and if you are able to contribute more it would be more than welcome.
